Hey I’m Stef, director and main creator at Honeys Hideaway!

In my mid 20’s I found my love for flowers and decided to do some night classes at the local horticultural college. My daughter Honey started school in 2010 and in that moment I knew I wanted to expand on what I’d already learnt. So we embarked on our school journey together and in 2014 I graduated with a BA Hons in Professional Floral Art and Design. From that moment Honeys Hideaway was established.

Over the years I’ve tried it all! From small, daily flower deliveries to large scale weddings, corporate florals, events, and more.  My heart was always pulled towards weddings. Seeing you smile on your big day is what I love the most.  

First and foremost, it’s every couples love story that gets me up in the quiet early hours of the morning.  So crawling around the floor, dirty florist hands and finding stems, leaves and petals in places I shouldn’t, actually gets me buzzing.  Not to mention chatting with you to understand the inspiration behind your ideas. These ideas that I will transform into designs you’ll talk about for years to come.

There is a magical feeling as a florist gained from creating your vision through the beauty of what mother nature has to offer and let’s be honest she offers so much.

From start to finish, the wedding flower meetings, then the ‘show time’ atmosphere – it is such a privileged to have designed and created your florals.

A profession of love, one that never stops teaching me new things.
